Wow, 30 weeks into the construction of this project. It’s hard to believe how fast it as been moving along. I would never believe if I weren’t involved. We gave a tight schedule. The building will house primarily Regis students and they start showing up in August. That means all the furniture and punch list items have to be completed ahead of time. Not to mention all the final sign off from the City.
At the east face of the building the wall of levels 2, 3, and 4 angle back into the building. This creates some relief along that east wall. However, the bricks all stay parallel to the street. This cause a few challenges. Primarily in setting the bring. Masons like to work to a line. That wasn’t so easy here. Instead we explored a couple lines, a jig and a few other odd ball approaches to get the wall to come out correctly.
Inside the flooring is going down and many of the trim pieces for the electrical are also in place.
