We are always excited to play a role in great projects. Another such project is a new specialty meat market in Wheat Ridge Colorado. Riccatones’ Specialty Meats and Grocery has received all the necessary approvals through the Jefferson County Health Department, West Metro Fire and the Wheat Ridge Building department. Through close collaboration with the local jurisdictions the project team was able to get the project approved on the first submittal for health and fire and only a couple points of clarification on the building side.
The building was originally the Wheat Ridge Farm Dairy which was built in 1939 in the Art-Deco style. One of the fantastic aspects of this project is that the building is being rehabilitated while maintaining its historical feel. The exterior will have the stucco patched and a new roof installed. The interior will have a new kitchen, grocery, banquet area and updated finishes through out.
The community is also very excited about a new meats market in town. We visited briefly with a patron of the former Italian restaurant and she was extremely excited at the prospect of a new grocery in this location.
Construction will begin in earnest in January and opening day is expected in a few short months.
